The biggest challenge in a business. Yourself!

2008 November 11 2008

In several examples, such as Kodak or other large corporations that go bankrupt or lose a lot of ground in your business, we often conclude that the problem is that they were not ready, they could not or would not see the change. Now I asked myself if I am ready as an organization to make all changes necessary for success, because as a human being willing to change aspects not being carried me down the road than I expected or understood as successful?

This is a shot a little post of my friend William Moralez called "My only venture: My Life" added to that seen in classes CETEAN about companies that did not have the vision necessary to make the necessary changes or worse, those they could make the change but did not, perhaps not prosper or ruin your present (currently being leader, but with great intrigue that position will be occupied in the future) or many times for not having "eggs "necessary to do and stay in your comfort zone.

I think Juan Carlos , once told of Tiger Woods (not the detail, but very general history), where it really proved to be the number one, not only to have the aptitude for the sport, but to have a mind capable of producing the necessary changes and have the 2 golf balls to take it and implement it.

The fact is that Tiger in a moment of his career, and being the undisputed number 1, note that the mode of play that had at that time, gave him a pain in the future it would definitely sidelined, rather than mostly a matter of attitude, fundamental to any golfer. Woods realized that the solution to this problem was to grab your instrument playing in a completely different, compared to us can be like trying to learn to write with your other hand. The thing that did change the golfer, terribly low level, and diambulo for a long time out of number one which had already demonstrated the necessary skills. The point is that as we all know, today is number 1 again Tiger and has already passed quite what happened.

In my particular case, many times I saw skills and attitudes of their own, they were not the best for what I was intending to do, by the fact that "good all these things that are on the surface I can change, but my way of being no "(?), or" I can improve, but not change my nature, "(??). Today I realized that to be committed to a vision, you must first engage with oneself and with the possibility of change, to things that today we can bring happiness, let alone those we know are wrong, but still doing.

The question is am I willing to make a change that may not want to accept, I do not want to see, to alter my "comfort" today? SI. Do I even need to be left-handed!

! That if Boca fan ever! lol ;)

I fully agree with the above, in my opinion and what I see in the lives of others, it is difficult to understand for someone who is thinking comfort zone to change something, what if when changes are exposed to a risk we do not know and since it seems logical that it would be pointless. There are 3 choices: I can do better, same or worse but do not know the probability of each one and not the cost that this entails. Even when you're outside your comfort zone, many people do not change just because it is a mood on the floor and sees no possibilities to be better (this can be seen with unemployment, when a person seeks work for a time and not found, then you can stop looking and government statistics do not reflect reality as it is these cases by not seeking work is not considered unemployed).
In short, be willing to change in a state of comfort is a big challenge and takes a risk that sometimes you can not go back if we go wrong. Having this attitude sets us apart and is where one can achieve success. Personally I'm trying, we are there!

Joaquin,

Following the thought of Tiger Woods, I wonder what the pain I'm feeling I'm going to get focus on my goals.
We call this "awareness" of pain: BREAK
Because it breaks the transparent flow of our lives.
What is today my pain that gets me out of focus?
Do I have the tools to help, if only I can not?
Welcome to the world of pain Joaquin, because they are indicators, are beacons that warn us that we are diverting the course.
Nice to read you ..
Marcelo

Joaquin

Speaking of changes, I recommend you watch this video of John Francis, who is really touching. You have to change to get where we want. Convenience is what stops most people.

Joaco, master!

I like to see change as an "evolution." And all evolution, comes pain and cracking (You can see the trees in the land of earthquakes, on pain of bone to grow and even the pain of disappointment first to see our parents also make mistakes! ), but also brings inner peace and harmony (as the embrace sincere of heart to forgive, as the mourning of which reached the top of the mountain ... or your personal goal, or simply realize that what overwhelmed you before, now makes you laugh.

For there to be changes, something inside has to be encouraged to widen the eyes, widen your vision. For there must be assumed that evolution can be better, even if you recontra well. That attitude helps to be flexible and that flexibility is what companies need today and tomorrow ... lots and lots of flexibility! The real life at the end always prevails and you have 2 options, evolve or devolve! Thanks for motivating Joaco to enjoy first!
